1. I turned in my application to the Graduate College at the University of Iowa today. There's $60 I'll never see again.
This doesn't mean I'm done with the application process. I still have to turn in the essay and a few other things to the English department. This includes making sure my letter writers get their letters in soon. Should be fun.
2. Jennifer found a coffee shop looking for people to play on Friday nights. I haven't played in front of a live audience in 5 or 6 years at least, and it's been longer since I was doing it regularly at the Starbucks in Lilburn, Georgia. Think I can get back into it, we'll see. It would be nice to have something to add on my show list for MySpace FINALLY. Strange that I used to play every weekend and since I got that MySpace account, I've never played. Odd...
3. We're leaving Saturday for Georgia for 10 days. Should be good. Looking forward not only to my Mom's cooking, but also to my Mother-in-law's cooking. My Two Mommies are trying to kill me! I can't wait!
4. I've got a few people reading my Berryman essay, which I finished this past weekend during a massive stint at the library's second floor computer farm. No one's been able to get at it yet with finals, but hopefully David or my brother will get to it. I'm worried it's going to suck and not only will people stop thinking I'm intelligent, I'll have more work than I can handle to finish it by the 1/15 deadline. I'm fucked.
5. I have a bunch of work stuff that I haven't done because I'm lazy and it's a lot of stuff, but now that I'm going to be gone a whole week, I better figure something out or I'm boned if my boss finds out. But, it's not really that much and I have until Friday afternoon (working Friday so I don't have to work later...long story).
6. Jennifer is fried. Very busy, very tired. I wish there were some way for me to help...at all...
literally spent a while last night banging my head into the wall. no bruise or noticeable damage, but we'll see...
